The beautiful city of Siena

Our excursion start in the south of Tuscany with the beautiful city of Siena. This is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the nation, known for its medieval cityscape, its museums and art, its cuisine, and the world famous horse race, The Palio.

The citizens of Siena display their pride in their history in the days leading up to The Palio di Siena by performing a magnificent pageant, the Corteo Storico, throughout the city streets.

The twice yearly horse race, held on July 2nd and August 16th, attracts visitors and spectators from around the world.

As your private guide in Siena, I will guide you through the narrow streets right into the heart of the town to the extraordinary Cathedral of Siena, one of Italy’s greatest examples of Romanesque-Gothic architecture.

Your walking tour in Siena continues to the beautiful shell-shaped town square Piazza del Campo.

We’ll have some free time in Siena prior to lunch and then in the early afternoon we will continue with a guided tour in one of the most famous wineries of Montalcino area.

Here we will enjoy delightful "tagliere" with salami, ham, cheese, bruschettas and of course wine!
